Purpose
Zoom™ is a dynamic simulation workshop that teaches the principles, methods and tools necessary to create effective process improvement. Participants work as a team to discover how implementing best practices can lead to cutting-edge breakthroughs. Participants learn how to eliminate excess complexity and to maximize customer satisfaction by using simpler principles.

How it Works
The program brings “real world” issues into the workroom so that participants can explore in-depth the principles of process management. The three-day workshop is comprised of 35% lecture and 65% real-world simulation activities that are completed in teams.

Through simulations, the Zoom™ program demonstrates how streamlining work can have a dramatic impact on an organization’s ability to be competitive in today’s business environment. Participants are divided into teams, which must conduct four simulations, each of which consists of a total of 21 transactions. Customer data is introduced that indicates customer dissatisfaction with service level, and the teams are directed to improve the process.

Result
After the program, participants have renewed enthusiasm and skills to implement process improvements by simplifying methods. Managers also explore their roles as leaders and supporters.

Participants are prepared to implement their own changes after the program because they have already been through change simulation processes during the program. As such, the long-term effect of the change has far more potential to succeed.
