PARTICIPANTS TALKING ABOUT THEIR TRAINING
“This was very useful and powerful information presented in such a way that allowed actual changes in thinking and behavior rather than just conceptual learning. You are a great teacher, and combine the experiential with lecture very effectively. Your enthusiasm for the subject is contagious.“
Improving Customer Service
“I was extremely pleased with the tools the Zoom training provided me for looking at systems within our organization and improving them for the benefit of our customers - job-seeking clients and employers. Leslie Kennedy is a wonderful trainer who explained the change model in a very thorough and understandable way, then gave us the opportunity to practice what we had learned using a specific situation. We will be using these tools at Washington Works as we undergo major change within our organization in 2001, as well as for many years to come.”

“Every Team Achieved Radical Improvements”
“Leslie and her partners have been at this work for a long time. I think they've found a wonderful recipe that mixes some of the human relations and systems concepts that we immerse ourselves in at Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS), with a very clear and focused approach to the technical aspects of work process improvement. The workshop was highly experiential - in fact it revolves around a process improvement simulation in which I experienced every aspect of a process improvement project, and in which every team achieved radical improvements. My experience in this workshop was quite an inspiration to me as I consider the work processes I am responsible for. If someone would have suggested to me at the beginning of the three days just how far we could go, I would have scoffed. Now I'm looking at LIOS' processes and imagining a whole new world.”

”Easy...Immediately Applicable“
“As a process improvement/management expert within Boeing, I'll throw my two cents in as well. I consider the Zoom workshop to be among the best I've attended on the subject. It is thorough, complete, disciplined, easy to understand, experiential, and immediately applicable. There are very few I would say that about. Come to think of it, I don't know of ANY others I would say that about.”

“Surpassed Expectations”
“This class surpassed my expectations. The training provided strong reinforcement in what we need to do in our Quality Action Teams to accomplish meaningful and cost-effective changes. Some who previously resisted the quality improvement process are now converts. What further impressed me were the participants at the end of the three days of Zoom. I would have expected fatigue, but just the opposite occurred – genuine energy and enthusiasm.”

“Practical...A Lot of Fun!”
“Zoom was very practical. Someone can tell you how to ride a bike, but until you get on one and fall a few times, you'll never learn how to ride. It was also a lot of fun!”

Immediately Use On The Job
“...lots of classes talk about Deming's principles; this is the first that gives you the kind of hands-on experience that can be immediately applied on the job. I suspect Dr. Deming would heartily approve of the hands-on nature of your class. It was a great class.... The class is exceptionally well structured; the lectures useful, entertaining and brief; and the simulation powerfully convincing.”

Amazed at Process Improvement Results
The best part of Zoom training is the hands-on exercises using the skills and knowledge of rapid cycle process improvement. At the end of day two I was blown away at the achievements we made and couldn’t imagine how we could improve any further. On day three Leslie kept her promise that’d we’ll blow the socks off the process improvements we accomplished on day two. It was amazing, really amazing.
Anyone who wants to build a successful company better put Zoom training at the top of their priority list.

“Best Training Ever”
“The Facilitation, Guiding Successful Change training was an outstanding 5-day experience. The training provided an opportunity for me to learn about myself, my learning style, my personal needs, and how I can assist successfully in enhancing the learning of others. The training incorporated a variety of learning methods including hands-on opportunities, observations with journal recordings, lectures, feedback involvement, development and implementation of a training module, goal setting, something for everyone. Incorporating the facilitation training with a Zoom group is a piece of ingeniousness. It provided me an opportunity to identify what I may or may not do in particular situations when working in a process team environment. An added benefit for the Zoom teams was that they received timely and helpful hands-on feedback regarding their process improvement team. The instructors personally challenged me during the training while providing a “safe” environment.”
“Since attending the training, I have encouraged co-workers to participate; to date, our agency has six trained facilitators with two more scheduled to complete the course by year-end. I thank our instructors for their creativity and forward thinking in developing this unique training module. It continues to be at the top of my list of “best training” ever.”

“Facilitation, Guiding Effective Change is a 5 day event which uses Zoom as a powerful observation laboratory. It is highly interactive and emphasizes practice, peer coaching and non-judgmental feedback. As one Providence of Centralia facilitator said, “You can't have a better opportunity than to actually observe people. Watching groups interact and working with the observations is a great way to learn.” The Quality Advisors are using what they learned on the job, applying it within their own departments as well as when facilitating Continuous Quality Improvement teams.”
The impact of the class was so powerful that the six facilitators are dedicated to keeping the learning process alive and have actually created an ongoing learning community. They meet once a month, bringing their class binders, and focus on the improvement of specific skills. They also refresh skills and knowledge by facilitating a CQI simulation within a 4 hour course. This is fertile ground and the facilitators debrief afterward by reviewing what went well and what could be improved. Our meetings are so much fun that everyone else is saying, “Who was THAT group?”
